Remember to dress for the weather.  We go outside every day for recess, lunch recess and gym.

This week in ELA we finished planning our fictional stories and started the writing process. We learned how to introduce our characters and setting within the first few sentences and then introduce our problem next.  Next week we will learn how to add interesting details to stretch out the events in our story.

This week in Math we reviewed different strategies such as "Rob 1 to make a ten" when adding 9. We have been playing a lot of different card games to practice our addition and subtraction.  I will put the different game boards and instructions in my Google Classroom under the tab Math Resources, if you would like to print them off and play at home.

In Science we began learning about the water cycle. We have watched videos, created art, and even danced the water cycle!

In Social Studies we are continuing to learn about the word, "perspective."  This week we looked at the book, "Window," and "A Stone Sat Still," to look at different perspectives of changes we see in the land. We even went outside and chose a tree that we will explore the perspective of the land from.  Students will shed their human experience to see the land from the perspective of a tree.
