Today we read a book called, "A Poppy is to Remember,"  and learned why we wear poppies on Remembrance Day.  We then created some Remembrance Day art by using pastels to draw a field we of poppies.  Students learned about perspective and that things that are close to us appear bigger and things that are far away appear smaller.  Check out their work. They did a great job!
