Reminders: Soft Entry begins at 7:50 am. Students should arrive at or shortly after 7:50. We would like all students to try to be inside the school by 7:55, please. The 7:58 bell means ‘start learning in your classroom’, not ‘enter the school now’. Here are some notable activities from the week: During writing, we were learning how to create a complete sentence. We learned that a sentence needs 4 main things; Capital Letter at the beginning, a complete idea, finger spaces between each word and punctuation. Here are some notable activities from the week: During Language Arts, we are reviewing the graphemes (letters with their sounds). This is a good review for all students as they it helps them be more aware of letter sounds when they are reading and writing. This week we reviewed the letters; e, h, i, j and k. Along with reviewing the letter names and sounds, we are also learning/reviewing how to print the letters properly so that their printing becomes more efficient. Remember, we always start printing a letter from the top. Here are a few fun videos we watched to review letters sounds and printing. Please review these letters and sounds if your child is still learning their letters and sounds.
